专家简历:
Dr. Yeping Xiong is a Lecturer and Director of MSc Maritime Engineering Science Programme in the School of Engineering Sciences, University of Southampton,UK. She joined the University as Senior Research Fellow in 2001. Before joining the University, she had been Professor of Structure Dynamics since 1996 in the Institute of Engineering Mechanics, Shandong University in China. She was President of Shandong Society of Vibration Engineering, Councillor of Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering and Committee Member of the Structural Vibration Control. She was awarded the Shandong Science and Technology Progress Prize on three occasions, the Shandong Young Scientists Outstanding Research Achievement Award, Teaching Awards on four occasions in China.
Her research interests cover structural dynamics, vibratory power flow theory and analysis approaches, active/passive/hybrid vibration control, linear/nonlinear vibrations, structure-control interactions, vehicle-bridge interactions, fluid-structure interactions, smart material and structures, dynamic modelling and simulations. Apart from teaching six courses for BEng, MEng, MSc and PhD in ship science, she has undertaken a range of research projects such as EPSRC, EU-MARSTRUCT, Royal Academy of Engineering, Royal Society, KTN SMART.idea award, LRET UTC, IHI Japan collaborative project, etc addressing power flow, vibration and comfort, hybrid vibration isolation and control, fluid structure interactions, sloshing dynamics of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers and smart material/structures. She has been a member of EPSRC Peer Review College since 2003, Committee member of International Ship & Offshore Structures Congress, member of ASME, IIAV (International Institution of Acoustics & Vibration) and a referee for a number of journals. She has published over 90 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings so far and one patented invention of vibration control device using smart material. She delivered many invited seminars in universities in Germany, USA, Denmark, Japan, Canada, China, Australia, Korea and UK. She is currently visiting HIT on RAE Research Exchange with China-Major Award on “Power flow approach for a smooth and discontinuous nonlinear dynamic system to explore vibration energy transition mechanism”.
